Admittedly, I don’t know how to curl my hair, and for many occasions, there were times when I was disappointed that I never took the time to learn how to curl my hair.
So, when TikTok started showing me the Conair InfinitiPRO Curl Secret Auto Curler, I jumped on that product preeeetty quickly, in hopes that it would curl my hair quickly for date nights and parties.
Here’s my experience with the Conair InfinitiPRO Curl Secret Auto Curler.

My Hair Type
- Medium length, a few inches past my shoulder
- Thick and abundant
My First Impressions
The auto curler has idiot-proof settings for people like me. I selected the auto curling direction setting (seriously, who knew curls also had directions?) and chose a heat setting as instructed in the instruction pamphlet. There’s also an option to choose how loose/tight you want your curls to be, and a protective barrier so you don’t get burned.
True to its advertisement, curling my hair was insanely easy. All I had to do was grab a small section of my hair, line it up with the barrel, and press the button for the curling to automatically grab my section and curl it. All I had to do was hold onto the curler, move with it, and wait for the beep to indicate it was done.

When I pulled my hair, it was in a perfect curl. There were times when I had to redo the section because it didn’t curl properly in the barrel, but it was minimal. Additionally, there were several times, towards the end, when I started rushing the process, where I took a little too much hair, and whilst it went into the barrel, it ended up jamming it during the auto-curling process. Right away, the curler beeped and stopped, releasing the hair and allowing me to try to detangle my hair from the curler, which was surprisingly easy.

Overall, it took me a little over an hour to curl my whole head, and that was only because I began to rush the process towards the end. Conair claims the ceramic technology reduces frizz and adds shine, but I felt that my curls were more frizzier than having them curled with a straightener.
In an attempt to desperately want this auto curler to work, I chose a setting for looser curlers, which felt like it did help with the frizz.

Pros:
- Easy settings and easy to use.
- More or less, great curls every time.
- Long lasting curls. Mine held up for 3 days before I hopped into the shower!
- Safety barrier to prevent burns.
- Safety measures to prevent tangling if you put too much hair into the tool.
Cons:
- Only one type of curl – can’t get loose beach waves.
- It can be time-consuming depending on your hair.
- The tool will miss several single strands of hair during the automatic process, giving the end result a messy look.
Pricing
At the time of writing this review (July 2025), the Conair InfinitiPRO Curl Secret Auto Curler currently retails for $130 CAD from their official website or for $75 CAD on Amazon. From time to time, Costco sells this curler in a bundle pack where you get the full-size and travel-size curler.

My Final Thoughts
As much as I enjoyed the tool and having curls, I don’t think this product is right for me. I love the ease of this tool, but given my thick hair, it took more than 1 hour to curl my whole head, making it not ideal for day-to-day use. After talking about hair curling with a friend, she recommended I get a curling wand, which is easier and quicker, even for those with thick, long hair.
I think this product is best suited for those with thin-to-fine hair, where you may be able to get your whole head done quickly.
