Happy 2026!
It’s been a while. A long while. I hope everyone is doing well.
As you can tell, I’ve revamped my entire blog, and I couldn’t be happier! I tell myself every new year, but I would like to focus on my blog again. My last entry was back in July! I feel inspired and motivated, once again. I have a better life balance again, now that Theo is getting older.
This month, I took a short hiatus from social media when I was overwhelmed with messages and responsibilities – the constant ping was getting to me. Both Dan and I were lucky to have 2 weeks off, aligning with Theo’s daycare closure, so it was a lot of relaxing and family time together. We said no to 98% of requests that took time away from the 3 of us spending the day together. The break has been amazing.
Kicking off our holiday break, one of our cats had a hematoma in his left ear and underwent surgery. He came back fine but is forced to wear a cone for 2 weeks. Poor guy!

One of the highlights of our holiday break was going back to Science World again. One of my colleagues gifted me tickets for the family. We went last summer, and it took Theo a bit to warm up to the place, but this time, he was turboing everywhere and had a blast.

Earlier this month, Theo also enjoyed his new cars. For a 2-year-old, I’m jealous he owns 2 cars already! Truly living the life.

And of course, on Christmas Day, this guy woke up at 4 am and tore open his gifts. He loved his train set, Hot Wheels, and many books and stickers. Needless to say, Dan and I were extra tired that day.

Lastly, we spent many days just roaming the neighbourhood and parks to enjoy the fresh air and occasional sun.

Well, it’s back to the daily grind on Monday. 2026 will be a great year!
Thanks for sticking around! <3
