I recently went on a little shopping spree on Fossil’s website because they had a massive sale… on top of their sale! It was an additional 40% off on their sales/clearance prices so a lot of their inventory was very affordable. For those who don’t know, Fossil is a well-known retailer of affordable and nice watches in Canada and the US. What many don’t realize is that Fossil has a great selection of leather bags for women and men and their quality and designs are fantastic. Honestly, one leather bag from Fossil can last you a decade, even if you are someone that tosses bags around like there’s no tomorrow. I believe the famous leather guy on TikTok, the one…

I fell into the linen craze this summer and purchased 5 linen dresses. What I love about linen clothes is two things: Unfortunately, my linen dresses came out extremely wrinkly from the dryer and when I put one on, I felt instantly embarrassed and knew there was no way to leave the house wearing a wrinkly dress. Sometimes, I used to change an entire outfit because of how wrinkly my t-shirt looked!  I knew right away that an iron or steamer was needed to remedy this issue, and the truth is, wearing crisp clothes does make or break an entire outfit. I had a cheap iron that I left at my mom’s place when I moved out and when I…

New segment alert! I absolutely love reading but writing dedicated review posts for every single book I read is not my forte. I figured a monthly round-up is the way to go with brief reviews of the book! All links directs to Goodreads. Artificial Condition (The Murderbot Diaries #2) by Martha Wells Rating: 3/5. An average follow-up to the 1st installment and not as exciting as the 1st. I found it lost a lot of good opportunities for a surprise plot twist, or to create an eerie feeling when reading some of the scenes (especially during the tunnels!). I wasn’t a fan of the plot where Murderbot had to help a bunch of young adults and overall lacked a good storyline…

Check out some mini book reviews for the month of May and let me know if you’ve read any or if any of these peaks your interest! All links directs to Goodreads. A Stone’s Throw: Memoir of a Dope Fiend by Scott A. Spackey Rating: 3/5. I honestly stumbled across this memoir while trying to find books on LSD/acid. Spackey gives an intimate view of his drug addiction and a glimpse into a drug-fueled lifestyle. I watched a lot of drug documentaries but found this to provide a much more insightful view from an addict’s perspective than the docuseries. I was a bit put off by his “bragging” of his intelligence but I suppose it sort of added to his…

Here’s the truth – working out can be expensive. From the gym or studio memberships to the fancy workout equipment to the nice workout attires. To give you an idea, back when I was a member of Pure Barre, I was paying nearly $90/month, plus fancy sticky socks that range from $15-25 per pair. But, barre was the one workout that I truly loved after leaving the gym so I maintained my membership until the pandemic hit.  Given how expensive my barre membership was, I opted to save money on activewear when it came to getting something new. I’m someone that believes a good pair of workout leggings can help motivate you to hit the gym! Here are a few…

Located on 1901 Rosser Ave #106b, Burnaby, inside of Madison Centre, Tendon Kohaku, a tempura donburi restaurant, is still relatively new to the Brentwood neighbourhood, having opened only a year or two ago. After selling my Nintendo Switch, Dan and I thought it’d be nice to treat ourselves to a dinner out. We settled on giving Tendon Kohaku a shot since the last two times we tried to eat there, they had a long wait time. At one point, we were told the wait time would be about an hour and a half! The third time’s the charm, right? When we arrived, we were pleasantly greeted by the host and asked if we wanted to sit at the bar, otherwise,…

Last year for my birthday, I decided to get a Dior book tote! It was a bag that caught my attention but I never found a pattern that I loved enough. I could’ve gone with the classic oblique or Toile de Jouy design but I knew it wouldn’t spark joy. I eventually found the small (now medium and will refer to it as a medium book tote going forward) bayadere embroidery design (from 2020) that I fell in love with because I found the design to be simple, timeless, and not to mention, neutral beige!  Unfortunately, it sat in my closet for the remainder of 2021 up until early this year, Dan and I went to Las Vegas after two…
